Bruiser (aka Bailey) is very mellow and sweet 3-4 year old male Pyr/Border Collie mix. He loves all people, especially kids, and loves to please. He is great with cats and other small animals. He likes to be around other dogs but is very particular about the dogs he gets along with.  He is not a fan of puppies and does not like large dogs. Although with proper introduction, he tolerates most dogs. He is not a fussy eater, and if left alone will just sleep. He has never destroyed anything and he barely even destroys his own toys. He knows his toy basket and will only play/chew things that come from that. He sleeps through the night without a peep and is generally the last one to get up. He takes his job of guarding the house seriously and will bark at other dogs passing by, at delivery people, and yard workers. He likes to dig holes to lay in, but we have found it easy to limit this to certain locations in the yard - and he will keep to those. He knows lots of commands and is generally eager to please. He sleeps on his dog bed or the couch (if we let him) and he loves to cuddle and get pets. He will paw to ask for more. He walks beautifully on the leash - we use a gentle leader or a harness. He is currently in the Portland, OR. area.
