Meet Sitka! This big girl is as energetic as she is affectionate. When she isn't playing rough and tumble with her resident partner in crime, she's trying to steal snuggles on the couch. She loves to bulldoze her head into our laps and our hearts.
Born approximately November 2019 she's the type of girl who's ready to go sunup to sundown. She likes her walks, runs, and romps in the yard. She's also very affectionate. She loves getting rubbed down and is keen to pull up next to you on the couch.
We think she'll be a good running companion. She absolutely loves playing with her foster siblings and her youthful energy wears both out so she'll need a companion that's well matched. She's affectionate and eager to please. She absolutely loves people. She's a big girl. When she gets excited, she needs a strong leader to calm her down and keep her focused on task. She gets excited on leash around other dogs. While she doesn't default to aggression, she will return it.
We don't think she's had a lot of exposure to populated areas, so she likes barking at traffic, neighbors, pedestrians, the mail carriers, etc. We think that with continued socialization and age she'll calm down. We haven't noticed any resource guarding or destructive chewing.
She will require an active household, an active and playful resident dog (50lbs +), fenced yard and a strong leader.
