“Valor is slowly becoming the definition of his name.” Valor is a sweet, soft Pyr who is coming out of his shell and learning to trust people. Before coming to the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society, he was very cautious of people. Since he has been with the rescue, he is slowly allowing human contact, brushing, walks, petting and grooming. He avoided people when he first came in March.

Valor shows the potential to become an exceptional family companion. He likes other dogs and cats and bestows lots of friendliness when first meeting them. When he meets people, he is a bit timid, but his tail is wagging.

Almost 5 years old, Valor still has his puppy playful moments and wants to run. He is treat and food motivated and likes to be petted which are all the makings for a dog to learn quickly. He walks nice on a leash and enjoys daily walks.

Valor would thrive living with a loving and kind family with older, dog-savvy kids and a large resident canine companion. Valor is a sensitive canine who responds to caring and patient people. Please complete an Adoption Application if Valor sounds like a dog that would benefit from being loved by your family.
