Introducing Cotton, the quintessential sweet and gentle Great Pyrenees gal. Born in November of 2013, this lovely lady found herself in the care of the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society alongside her sister after their owner fell ill and could no longer provide for them. When Cotton reached her foster home, she was a little plump, and she wasn't particularly ecstatic about the diet she was placed on. But over time she has blossomed into a healthier version of herself, and it is evident she feels much better! Now sporting a trimmer figure, she wiggles with joy at mealtimes, showing off her happy dance when her bowl is filled. Although Cotton does enjoy a good nap during the day, one of her favorite pastimes is going for walks, and her happy dance returns as soon as the leash appears. Cotton strolls easily on the leash, taking in the world at her own pace and savoring every scent along the way. She's a social butterfly, always eager to greet the people and dogs she encounters, basking in the attention and affection showered upon her. Outdoors is where she truly thrives! While Cotton may have a few quirks, like her aversion to car rides and her preference for drinking from outdoor water bowls, her intelligence, respectfulness, and eagerness to please shine through. Cotton loves to lean in for pets, and she will frequently offer you her Pyr paw in return. Cotton would flourish in a semi-active family familiar with her breed, especially one with dog-friendly kids and a resident dog of similar age and size. She asks for very little—just a safe haven filled with love, and in return she’ll be your devoted and snuggly companion forever!
