“Can I be part of your pack?” Obie is a handsome 75 lbs Great Pyrenees male who likes to play with female canines his size. Obie is shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up to you, you are his best friend.
Obie was born around June 2019 and was one of many puppies rescued when the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society (GPRS) retrieved a litter of puppies dumped in a rural Texas field. He is a survivor of his circumstance.
He is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, uses the dog door, will follow you around to offer you the obligatory Pyr Paw, and is treat motivated. He likes to toss stuffed toys around but will not tear them apart. He is good with cats and older considerate kids 12 years and older.
Obie would thrive in an active family with confident leaders who are familiar with Pyr traits and behavior. His foster family has a tradition of howling together, and it didn’t take Obie long to join in. Let’s howl together and complete an Adoption Application for Obie.
