“You need a Lucy in your life.” Lucy is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees mix who will make a great friend and family companion. Lucy is destined to live in the PNW, was born about January 2016, and weighs around 60 lbs. This water-loving Pyr longs to be near a lake, river, or ocean where there’s more water than she can ever possibly displace and put her paws in. She came to the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society from a Texas animal shelter as a stray.
Lucy is always ready for a race around the yard with the other dogs. She is a social butterfly and wants to play with all dogs even the small ones that know how to tell a big dog to back off, and she will oblige. Her weakness for squeaky toys easily wins her over, so keep a supply on hand.
Lucy is people friendly, house trained, uses the pet door, crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. She is an affection seeking Pyr and will give you the obligatory Pyr Paw for scratches around the ears.
This mature Pyr is very young hearted and would thrive in an active home with kids, a resident canine companion, and a big securely fenced yard to play in. If you need Lucy in your life - here she is! Complete an adoption application today.
