Powell is a two years old Great Pyrenees mix with big eyes and a bushy tail. He has cute badger markings and weighs approximately 95 pounds. Powell is currently living in Kirkland, WA with his four foster dog siblings and foster parents.
Powell loves to play and cuddle with his foster dog siblings and would do best in a home with a confident and playful resident dog. He loves to go on walks and will sit at the door when he knows that it is walk time. Powell also enjoys car rides but needs to be tethered or separated, otherwise he will ride in the front seat with you.
Powell loves to cuddle and get affection from his humans once he is comfortable, but because he can get scared or anxious, he needs to be in a home without young kids. He will sit at your feet or lay his head in your lap to request affection. He also enjoys being brushed and may follow you to ask for more brushing after you stop. He currently sleeps on the floor in the bedroom with his foster dog siblings.
Powell was scared of the crate when he first came to his foster home but has since learned to go in on his own every night for dessert time. He is still working on being left in the crate when his humans leave as he pants a lot and may try to test the crate door for 10-15 minutes. Powell is trustworthy in the house and has never gone to the bathroom in the house. He will sit at the door to let you know if he needs to go outside. He does well with a consistent schedule and routine and knows where to go to wait for his meals.
