Meet Lacy! Lacy is around 2 years old and a super sweet, spirited pup who is ready to be someone’s PNW adventure buddy. She’s is a higher energy Pyr, and is looking for an active family who will take her on regular adventures and provide her with daily exercise. She would make a perfect hiking partner. Lacy is great on leash and passes other dogs and people nicely on walks. She is receptive to reward-based training and knows how to walk on a loose leash, sit, down, and stay. She is relaxed in her crate where she comfortably sleeps and eats. Much of the world is still new to her, so it would be nice for her to have a confident and playful canine companion in her forever home. She can be a bit intense with other dogs at first, but loves to play after a proper introduction. So far, introductions have been easier with male dogs, although she is now enjoying living with and constantly playing with my female Pyr. Lacy loves people and greets everyone with a wagging tail. She still has puppy energy and can get mouthy and jumpy when excited, so she is looking for a home with adults or late teens. We are working on getting her used to my cats and she is doing well. She could live with dog-savvy cats with continued training. She will need a home with prior experience with large, willful dogs. Lacey could be an only dog in an active home that would commit to training to keep her mentally challenged and would provide opportunities for play dates and interaction with other dogs.
