“He’s guaranteed to raise a smile.” Meet Sergeant Pepper, also known as Sargey. He is a charming and goofy boy who found his way into our hearts as a stray from a Dallas animal shelter. He arrived with a few skin issues and was very thin. Born around July 2015, Sergeant Pepper weighs about 80 lbs and is healthy and ready for his forever home.

Sergeant Pepper is such a sweet boy and likes people’s attention. He is a snuggle buddy extraordinaire and is loyal to his person (he plays favorites, what can we say). He is fine with kiddos and loves cats.

He enjoys going on walks and does great meeting other dogs. He rarely barks but is amusing when he makes frequent “awwhooo” sounds and grunts like a pig when he sees other dogs on walks.

Sergeant Pepper especially loves making friends with all the small dogs he can find at the dog park, and we are working on perfecting how to play at the dog park. He hates walking on wet grass and is afraid of squeaky toys.

He’s never had an accident in the house, rides well in a car, and is a perfect gentleman during outdoor dining excursions. He is quiet and waits.

You will find him conveniently laying in front of the refrigerator any time you need to open it - and don’t mind him, though; he’ll let you slide him out of the way because he is not moving on his own accord.

Sergeant Pepper does have allergies and will likely require some medication to help manage them. He likes to use us as his personal scratching posts, but we don’t mind; we love him all the same.

Sergeant Pepper would be fine in a home with older kids and active parents and would probably benefit from another dog as he’s still learning to be a dog.
