“Best Dog Mom Ever” Meet Roe, mom to a litter of thirteen born last August in Arkansas. Mom and pups were rescued by the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society and brought to Texas when they were big enough to travel. With the puppies adopted into their forever homes, it’s time for Mom Roe to find her family.

Roe’s true personality is emerging every day. She is a happy-go-lucky Pyr/Lab mix born around December 2017 and weighs about 92 lbs. Roe is a playful girl and loves to play with toys! She can be happy and content to lay on her big bed and chew on a good bone at her leisure.

She takes naps while her foster mom works during the day! She likes that her foster mom works at home; that way, she’s always with her! When foster mom has to go out, she goes into her crate to not get too nervous!

Nothing makes her happier than being around her family - the little human brothers, foster mom, and dad. She loves her foster family, and her foster canine brother is also okay, although they both agree that their dog food is not shared! Her foster mom says, “She is a teddy bear.”

Roe would do great with almost any active family because she is an easy-going, happy girl that loves people. Roe loves the outdoors and has the energy to keep up with you if you like hiking, jogging, or vigorous playtime.

Roe gets so excited to wake her little human brothers every morning with a big wet kiss. The only thing that could make life any sweeter would be a family to call her own.

All dogs and puppies require VISIBLE fencing

Adoption fee: $325 (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm test, rabies, distemper, parvo and health certificate for travel). Adopters located outside of Texas pay the cost of transport to an independent transport service ($225).

GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. As always, our purpose is to find the best match for every unique dog that comes through our doors. Taking the time to find the right fit comes first and foremost at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. If you are interested in adopting, please take the time, and apply. You will see firsthand how much care, attention and love goes into the process, when you are guided a personal screener. This is why we have people come back again and again for their next family member! See all our dogs, fill out an application and discover why we are the BEST at placing the right dog in the right home! https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/.

ADOPTION, FOSTERING, AND DONATIONS are just some of the ways you can help a rescued dog. We have worked hard to cultivate a large network of volunteers to save this majestic breed. While monetary donations are always much appreciated, you can also help by donating your time as a GPRS foster or volunteer.
