Bailor's Sponsorship Page
“He is special in so many ways.” Bailor is a friendly and good-looking Pyr who is loved by all those he meets. He is engaging, sweet, house trained and has had some basic training. Bailor, born around January 2020, was rescued from a Texas animal shelter as a stray.
Bailor has Cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. Cerebellar hypoplasia is a feature of several congenital (present at birth) malformation syndromes, such as Walker-Warburg syndrome (a form of muscular dystrophy). He walks a bit odd and will sometimes fall but does not need special vet care or meds.
He is ok with little dogs. He cannot be with big dogs that play rough as they may knock him down, but a big older laid-back dog would be ok. Bailor would make an excellent companion with a calm adult family living in a house with a fully fenced yard and without stairs.
If Bailor sounds special in many ways to you, please complete an Adoption Application for him.
All dogs and puppies require VISIBLE fencing
Adoption Fee: $300. (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm test, rabies, distemper, parvo and health certificate for travel). ADOPTION, FOSTERING, AND DONATIONS are just some of the ways you can help a rescued dog. We have worked hard to cultivate a large network of volunteers to save this majestic breed. While monetary donations are always much appreciated, you can also help by donating your time as a GPRS foster or volunteer!
