If my puppy is NOT spayed / neutered at the time of adoption, I agree to spay/neuter my puppy by the age of 1 year old. I also agree that I will provide proof of spay/neuter to GPRS when requested at the age of 1 year. I understand that not having my puppy spayed/neutered by the age of 1 year could lead to him/her being returned to GPRS.
I understand and agree that it is my responsibility to make sure that the puppy I am adopting does not grow up to be aggressive. *

I will commit to socializing my puppy by taking him/her out to meet strangers and interact with both other humans and dogs, to ensure that he/she does not become aggressive. *

I understand that large breed puppies can develop joint issues from over-exercising, and I commit to NOT take my puppy jogging, running or difficult hiking until his growth plates have stopped growing (at around 12 months old). I understand that doing these activities can increase the risk of OCD (shoulder), elbow, knee and hip issues. I commit to taking my puppy on walks and allowing playtime with other friendly dogs as appropriate outlets for puppy energy.
I commit to registering for and/or completing a puppy obedience training course within the first 3 months of adopting my puppy.

I will NOT overfeed my puppy to "see how big he/she can get" and risk my puppy's joint health. I understand that large breed puppies can have joint issues if they grow too fast, and I agree to keep my puppy lean (on the thin side), while feeding large breed puppy appropriate food, until at least 12 months old to give them the best start with joint health. If I have questions about feeding, I understand that I can reach out to my screener for advice and help.
I am committed to learning about large breed puppies, specifically the Great Pyrenees breed, and will stay in contact with the rescue to work on any behavior issues before they become serious issues. *
