Meet Izzy, a small-but-mighty beauty with a sweetness level that should probably come with a warning label. Born around May 2020, Izzy is a pocket Pyr with main-character energy and a heart so big it barely fits in her adorable, compact package. Izzy has had professional obedience training (yep, she’s educated), so she walks like she’s auditioning for a fancy dog food commercial, and she generally carries herself like she knows she’s a catch--because she is. Socially, Izzy is a friendly, happy pup who gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a big, playful dog buddy—preferably a fellow large goofball who’s down for backyard zoomies, toy debates, and dramatic synchronized couch flops. She may need a slow, thoughtful introduction to dominant female dogs (Izzy enjoys good vibes and respectful friendships), but once everyone’s politely introduced, she’s all about being part of the pack. Cats aren’t a dealbreaker either; with proper intros, she can coexist just fine (she’s classy like that). At home, Izzy is wonderfully devoted and protective of her people, which means surprise visitors aren’t her favorite plot twist — she prefers to be introduced first. Give her that proper hello, and she’ll switch instantly into full love-bug mode, handing out affection like she’s working a booth at a friendship fair. She’d be happiest with older kiddos since little ones are a bit outside her current life experience, and she'd appreciate a calmer, more predictable household environment. If you’re looking for a beautiful, loyal, sweet-as-can-be sidekick, Izzy is ready to bring a little playful sparkle right into your life.
